In today's world of computer technology, disk drive crashes do not happen very often but when they do happen it can be a very painful process to recover from this unfortunate situation because they typically occur when there is no current backup of the user's key data files.

Overview of Gillware's Data Recovery Services
Gillware offers three levels of Data Recovery Services:
- Standard - Estimated turnaround of 5 - 7 business days
- Advantage - Guaranteed turnaround of 3 - 4 business days
- Priority - Guaranteed turnaround of 1 - 2 business days
Samples of Gillware's pricing include: 1) $378 for Standard service, $728 for Advantage service, and $1,078 for Priority service. for a logical recovery of up to 210 GB of data from a P/C running any Microsoft operating system, and 2) $699 for Standard service, $1,049 for Advantage service, and $1,399 for Priority service for a logical recovery of up to 210 GB of data from a P/C running the Macintosh operating system.
If a mechanical recovery is required there is an additional surcharge of $300. Note that a mechanical recovery requires the use of a "clean room". The decision about which recovery method is required is typically made when the damaged disk drive is received and inspected. Note that most data recoveries are done using a logical recovery process.
These prices assume that the damaged disk drive is sent/delivered to Gillware's Madison headquarters/laboratory, at the user's expense. Gillware's prices include returning the recovered data to the user typically on a CD.
