Background
The best way to protect data stored on computers is to do daily backups of all critical disk files. However, because hardware failures occur so infrequently many user's lack the personal discipline and time required to perform the required daily backups.
The best way to insure that critical data is properly backed up is to utilize remote backup services, over the Internet, that occur automatically behind the scene, and do not require the user to remember to do anything.
K&A has had positive experiences using data recovery experiences from Gillware, Inc.
Overview of Gillware's Data Backup Services
Gillware's current remote data backup services can be used for data maintained on any P/C, or on any server. The user has the ability to indicate what data files or folders need to be backed up, what frequency the back up of each category of data files should occur, and how many backup revisions should be retained.
Once this setup function has been completed, the backups occur automatically "behind the scene" with minimal impact on the performance of the designated P/C or server. Note that after the first backup, Gillware uses a very efficient approach that only backs up the data that has actually been changed.
Gillware's services also includes a manual auditing process to help insure that all scheduled data backups actually occur as planned.
A sample of Gillware's pricing is $20/month for up to 50 GB of data backed up from a single P/C. Backups can be setup involving multiple P/C's and/or multiple servers. This pricing sample is for illustration purposes only. Actual quotes for these data backup services should be obtained directly from Gillware.
