Background
WorkWise, Inc., formerly known as Effective Management Systems, Inc. (EMS), is a customer centric provider of Time Critical Manufacturing (TCM) enterprise management software. WorkWise's target markets include make-to-order, repetitive, and mixed mode manufacturers. WorkWise has also built an Authorized Business Partner program to help support companies using TCM.
TCM was developed and supported by EMS from 1979 until 1998, when EMS was purchased by Industrial & Financial Systems (IFS). In November, 2001, IFS sold the TCM business unit back to the original founder of EMS (Mike Dunham). Over 500 companies continue to use TCM to manage their businesses.
Overview
Our TCM Products are offered jointly with The Romans Group, Inc. (TRG) and can include:
- TRG DocExpress - Provides the automatic interfacing of faxing, laser printing, emailing, and/or archiving of TCM generated special forms - Quotations, Purchase Orders, Invoices, Acknowledgements, Packing Lists, and/or Bills of Lading.
- CONNX - Provides a commercial grade (full function high performance) ODBC driver for TCM customers running on the OpenVMS operating system. This product is a significant improvement over the Synergy ODBC Driver and can be used with any version of TCM.
- TRG SQL Data Pump - Provides the ability for a non IT user to easily create and maintain selectable TCM data files into SQL databases. This function facilitates the broad use of popular report writers/query tools, such as Crystal Reports and the Microsoft Office Suite (Access and Excel), to easily access and analyze TCM information. It can also be an aid for providing secure web access to selected TCM data files.
- TRG ABRA Payroll Interface - Provides the ability to interface TCM with ABRA Payroll.
- TRG SmartDC for TCM - Provides PC based data collection, including complete data validation, for TCM users.
- EDI Products - Provides products to help TCM users support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requirements for their customers and/or vendors, referred to as Trading Partners.
