Introduction
Effective use of enterprise management software (ERP) products, like SyteLine, requires that each company correctly maintain hundreds of individual fields of information that determine what ERP application functionality that the company has decided to use, and how the company has decided to use each ERP application.
Over time, many company's change what ERP applications they are using and/or change what "rules" that its management team desires to implement for correctly using each ERP application. These changes occur because, as the business changes over time, the informational and management needs required to effectively manage the company also change over time. This ongoing maintenance process is very prone to human errors because of 1) the large number of data fields that need to be maintained correctly, 2) the fact that the majority of the data fields are maintained manually by several people, and 3) the natural turnover that occurs with the staff that maintains these key data fields.
Overview
K&A's SyteLine Data Validation Utility allows executives to audit, on demand, how well the key information required by SyteLine is being maintained by the client's operational and administrative staff. It allows each client to define and validate the "rules" that its management team has established for properly using SyteLine. It generates a convenient worksheet which contains all the exceptions that it has generated when it applies the complete set of client specific rules to the client's entire SyteLine data base. Additionally, it provides the ability for clients to manually approve corrections, and then to electronically mass update the approved corrections to its SyteLine data base.
